The real testament of a coach is in the way their players react to them. Hannah makes players better, but more importantly she makes players want to be better. She’s an exceptional role model for the girls in an environment where they need positive female leadership. I’ve yet to come across anyone who has spent time with her who didn’t come away with an enhanced spirit for the game and bigger biceps from the push-ups for missing shots. And even though I’m still waiting for my sweatshirt, I’m glad to call Hannah a friend, a colleague, a mentor, and a coach.

Coach Hannah is such a positive influence for our daughter both on and off the ice.  The amount of growth we have seen since she started working with Coach Hannah has been truly incredible.  We cannot imagine my daughter playing hockey without Coach Hannah being involved with her in some way.  Coach Hannah is extremely knowledgeable and can make corrections in a positive and fun manner.  It is easy for her to get players wanting to practice and improve skills on their own.  We don't think our daughter will ever find a coach she loves as much as she loved having Coach Hannah.  We were truly spoiled to have her working with us this year.  It is important to our daughter that she continue her training with Coach Hannah in the future.  We cannot say enough positive things about her as an individual and as a coach.  We love Hannah!!!

Hannah is the owner & founder of Hannah Mac Hockey, LLC. Hannah creates detailed training plans focusing on skating and skills development, that are customized for every individual, from the amateur to professional level.

Hannah's passion and commitment to hockey has been apparent since her days as a player at both the collegiate and professional level. A 4-year letterwinner on Adrian College Women's NCAA team, she was elected to lead her team as captain her final 2 seasons. Following college, she continued her career playing in the inaugural season of the NWHL with the Buffalo Beauts, serving as a pioneer for the emergence of women in professional hockey. Hannah finished her playing career internationally, playing for the Neuberg Highlanders of the EWHL while living in Austria. Living and traveling Europe provided many experiences and memories she continues to cherish today.

Following retirement, Hannah returned to her alma mater, Adrian College, as an assistant coach in 2017, where she was the primary defense coach and recruiting coordinator for the Women's NCAA team. She quickly took a leap to the Division 1 level, as an assistant coach at Rochester Institute of Technology, where she led team skill development from 2018-2020.

Upon returning to Michigan at the beginning of the pandemic, Hannah found the opportunity to pursue a lifetime dream: the development of youth hockey players. Using her experiences playing and coaching at all levels, she created Hannah Mac Hockey, to provide a platform to support the growth and development of hockey players of all skill levels, for those just beginning to get involved in competitive hockey up to players with collegiate commitment.  Hannah is more than just a hockey skills coach, but also an advocate, advisor, and mentor. Her passion for the game, and genuine devotion to teaching is what sets her apart. She's ready to get to work, are you?

Testimonials

“The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little extra … Coach Hannah does that. Having her as Nilah’s coach has been a blessing She has kept building a fire within Nilah that is so fun to watch! Hannah’s coaching has taken Nilah where she couldn’t have taken herself. Her coaching was obvious to us in Nilah’s development of character, personality and habits plus the teaching of fundamentals and team play. Women coaches matter because they can relate differently to young women than men because they are a same-sex role model. Women coaches also provide role models for boys as well as girls. Young men and women should have the opportunity to have a variety of role models and gender is one. Even my son Oskar loves loves loves his lessons with Coach Hannah. Smart move on BT’s part to bring in this talent for the girls program!

“Having Hannah as a coach for Maddy has reignited Maddys love for hockey. She works harder at home and wants to be better not for herself and team but for Hannah as well. She truly is a blessing to these girls and is going to do amazing things at Belle Tire!”
